The GRE Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) Issue Essay task can take away valuable mental resources if you do not know how to strategically approach it on the day of the test. Remember – the GRE AWA tasks last 1 hour and are the first sections you will come across on the day of the test. If you put in too much effort writing the essay, you’ll find yourself quickly running out of mental stamina over the course of the next sections. This isn’t ideal.
